Heat-resistant ferritic stainless steels are most often used in high-temperature conditions with sulfuric atmospheres and low tensile loads

The main alloying element in heat-resistant ferritic grades is chromium. The positive effect on resistance is enhanced by silicon and aluminum. Heat-resistant ferritic steels are insensitive to sulfur gases.
